Plan of Salvation
(How To Be Saved)
1. We must realize that we are all sinners, both
by birth and by behavior
Rom 3:23 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; KJV Rom 3:10 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: KJV 2. We must recognize that sin carries a wage – Death (spiritual separation from God)
Rom 6:23 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord KJV Rom 5:12 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: KJV
3. However, we can rejoice because God has
provided a Substitute to die in our stead - Jesus
Rom 5:8 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. KJV John 3:16-18 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. KJV
4. In spite of all that God has done, there is still something YOU must do !!!
Rom 10:9-13 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. KJV
